We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer / Principal Frontend Engineer to join our core engineering team.
You will own product surfaces end-to-end, and help define the frontend architecture and technical direction of the company.

What you’ll do
- Own features end-to-end: problem → design → implementation → production.
- Design and build fast, accessible, and maintainable React applications.
- Make architectural decisions under ambiguity: state management, data fetching, rendering strategy, module boundaries.
- Solve problems involving rendering performance, complex client-side state, real-time data, and large-scale UI systems.
- Improve performance (Core Web Vitals, bundle size, runtime), reliability, and developer experience.
- Build and evolve a shared component library and design system.
- Review code and establish strong frontend engineering practices (testing, typing, CI, observability).
- Work directly with founders, product, and design to turn unclear problems into simple, effective interfaces.
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years of frontend engineering experience or equivalent technical depth.
- Deep expertise in React (hooks, concurrent features, rendering model) and TypeScript.
- Strong understanding of JavaScript fundamentals, the browser, the event loop, and the DOM.
- Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Strong software architecture fundamentals: component design, state management, and separation of concerns.
- Experience building and operating production web applications at scale.
- Solid understanding of HTTP, REST/GraphQL APIs, WebSockets, caching, and browser networking.
- Experience with performance profiling and optimization.
- Solid grasp of accessibility, responsive design, and cross-browser behavior.
- Proven ability to own projects independently.
- Comfortable with ambiguity, incomplete requirements, and rapidly changing priorities.
- Responsible, motivated, proactive, and pragmatic.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related engineering field (or equivalent experience).
Nice to have
- Next.js, Remix, or other SSR/SSG frameworks.
- TanStack Query, Redux Toolkit, Zustand, or similar state/data libraries.
- Testing: Jest/Vitest, React Testing Library, Playwright/Cypress.
- Tailwind, CSS-in-JS, or design-token-based styling systems.
- Build tooling: Vite, Webpack, monorepos (Turborepo/Nx).
- Experience with real-time UIs, data visualization, or media/WebRTC.
- Some backend familiarity (Node.js, Go) and comfort working across the stack.
- Startup or early-stage company experience.
- Previous Tech Lead, Staff, Principal, or Founding Engineer experience.
